We love meeting families who are curious about Folha Verde.
Visits are available by appointment on Mondays from 14:00–15:00.

What to Expect on a Visit
Your visit is an introduction to our project. You’ll be able to:
- explore the space
- meet our facilitators
- get a feel for our daily rhythm
- ask any questions you may have
If the project feels like a good fit for a child, we then invite a family for a follow-up conversation. This helps us get to know one another more deeply and talk about:
- which class your child would join
- their learning style and needs
- important details about how things work at Folha Verde
Our goal is always a warm, thoughtful transition for each child.
Location
We are nestled near the beautiful village of Benfeita, Arganil, Coimbra.
Enrollment
We currently welcome around 12 children in Jardim and approximately 35 in Big Kids.
We consider smaller group sizes to benefit the group dynamic and it helps us to create a caring, connected learning environment.
July Open Month
Every July, we open our doors for a special Open Month (Monday–Wednesday).
Children can join us for one week at a time or up to the entire month to experience how we work at Folha Verde and get to know the project better. During this month we shift our focus to:
- arts & crafts
- games
- creative exploration
We focus on creativity and play rather than curriculum based work or academic activities. It’s a relaxed and joyful way for children (and families) to get a real feel for our project.
